Terms and Conditions for the Aussie Parcel Research Project Competition
1. Eligibility: This competition is open only to individuals who are registered participants of the Aussie Parcel Research Project. Participants must be residents of Australia and at least 18 years of age. Employees of the logistics service provider and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
2. Agreement to Rules: By entering this competition, the participant agrees to abide by these Terms and Conditions. The decisions of the organizer regarding all aspects of the competition are final and binding.
3. Competition Period: The competition begins on 23 August 2024 and ends on 30 August 2025. Entries that are submitted before or after the competition period will be disqualified.
4. How to Enter: Participants must scan parcel labels as per the instructions provided in the project communication. Each correctly scanned parcel counts as one entry into the monthly and annual draws. Incomplete or inaccurate scans will not qualify as valid entries.
5. Prizes:
- Monthly Prizes: Two winners will be selected each month to receive AUD $1,000 each.
- Grand Prize: At the end of the 12-month project, one winner will be selected to receive AUD $10,000. To be eligible for the grand prize, participants must be deemed “active participants,” defined as those who complete at least 10 out of the 12 end-of-month surveys and scan at least one parcel in at least 10 out of the 12 months.
- Lucky Dip Prizes: Participants have a chance to win prizes ranging from AUD $10 to AUD $10,000 with each parcel scan entry.
Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered. The organizer reserves the right to substitute a prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
6. Winner Selection and Notification: Winners will be chosen at random using a computer-generated system from all eligible entries received. The monthly winners will be notified via email within seven days of the draw by a team member. The grand prize winner will also be notified by email at the end of the project by a team member. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, the organizer reserves the right to withdraw the prize and pick a replacement winner. The names of all winners will be published on parcel research winners page following their confirmation and acceptance of the prize.
7. Data Protection: All personal information submitted in connection with this competition will be treated in accordance with the Privacy Act and the organizer’s Privacy Policy. Information will be used solely for the purpose of administering the competition and awarding the prizes.
8. Entry Conditions and Release: By entering this competition, participants release and hold harmless the organizer, its subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, and advertisers from any and all liability for any injuries, loss, or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the competition or receipt or use of any prize.
9. General Conditions: The organizer reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these Terms and Conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God, or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside the organizer’s control.
10. Social Media Disclaimer: This competition is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, any social media platforms on which it may be promoted.
11. Compliance with Legal Obligations: Participants are responsible for ensuring that their participation in the competition is lawful and does not violate any legal obligations to which they are bound.
